Why divisional pairings matter most
National Football League teams meet their division opponents more often than anyone else, which means these specific palette combinations appear in more broadcast graphics, more matchup artwork and more printed previews than any other. A clash that would be a curiosity between two conferences becomes a recurring production problem inside a division.
