About the New York Giants palette

The New York Giants were founded in 1925 and compete in the National Football Conference of the National Football League. Their primary colour, Dark Blue #0B2265, is a very dark, muted purple.

The National Football League divides its thirty-two teams between two conferences, and uniform colour is regulated more tightly here than in any other major league: a team must register its colours with the league, and opposing teams are required to wear contrasting jerseys so that broadcast audiences can tell them apart.

Within the Eastern Division the Giants face Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders. Those are the matchups where two palettes appear in one frame, so they are the pairings most worth checking for a clash.

New York is also home to New York Jets and New York Yankees, which means local broadcast and print work often has to carry more than one of these palettes.
