Which pairings carry text
4 pairings measuredComputed with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines relative luminance formula. These decide whether a player name, a score or body copy stays readable.

About the San Francisco 49ers palette
The San Francisco 49ers were founded in 1946 and compete in the National Football Conference of the National Football League. Their primary colour, Red #AA0000, is a dark, saturated orange-red.
The National Football League divides its thirty-two teams between two conferences, and uniform colour is regulated more tightly here than in any other major league: a team must register its colours with the league, and opposing teams are required to wear contrasting jerseys so that broadcast audiences can tell them apart.
Within the Western Division the 49ers face Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks. Those are the matchups where two palettes appear in one frame, so they are the pairings most worth checking for a clash.
San Francisco is also home to Golden State Warriors, which means local broadcast and print work often has to carry more than one of these palettes.
